No-Gi Blueprint / Legal
Terms of Service
Effective date: September 30, 2026
Version: 1.0
1. Who we are and this agreement
No-Gi Blueprint is operated by Brendan Toupin ("No-Gi Blueprint," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms govern the No-Gi Blueprint website, application, and associated account features (the "Service"). Contact us at support@nogiblueprint.com.
You enter this agreement when you affirmatively accept these Terms, such as by selecting the acceptance checkbox during account registration or setup. Please read them before accepting. Do not create an account or use account features unless you agree. We do not claim that a person has accepted an agreement merely because they opened a public page.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Acknowledging that notice is not blanket consent to advertising, sale of information, or unrelated processing, and does not waive your privacy rights.
2. Eligibility and account responsibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have reached the age of legal adulthood where you live to create an account. Do not create an account or an athlete profile for a child through this version of the Service. Do not impersonate another person or supply someone else's personal information without lawful authority.
Provide an email address you control, protect your credentials, and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. These Terms do not make you responsible for harm caused by our failure to meet duties that applicable law places on us.
3. Educational purpose; no professional relationship
The Service helps users organize grappling techniques, study sources, training observations, archetypes, and paths through positions. It offers educational information and planning tools, not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, emergency assistance, or an individualized assessment of physical readiness.
Using the Service does not create a personal coaching, healthcare, fiduciary, or gym-supervision relationship. A profile based on height, weight, sex selection, experience, or self-assessed attributes is not a physical examination or a reliable determination that a technique is safe or suitable for you.
Review training decisions with an appropriately qualified instructor. Obtain advice from a qualified healthcare professional about health concerns that affect participation. Never use this Service to decide whether to ignore symptoms or delay appropriate care.
4. Grappling risks and training responsibility
Grappling and combat-sport practice involve serious inherent risks. Takedowns, throws, joint locks, chokes, leg entanglements, and other techniques can cause severe injury, loss of consciousness, permanent disability, or death. Reading a description, watching a video, or receiving a suggested path does not make practice safe.
Practice only in an appropriate environment with willing partners, suitable supervision, and rules that fit the participants' experience and circumstances. Respect submissions and stop signals immediately. Do not practice techniques on unsuspecting or unwilling people. Do not treat competitive rankings or a technique's availability in the library as permission to use it under a particular gym's or event's rules.
You decide whether to participate and acknowledge the inherent risks of participation. We do not supervise your training, your partners, your instructor, or your training environment. This acknowledgment is not a statement that every legal claim has been waived. It does not excuse conduct or eliminate liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. This agreement is not a substitute for any separate agreement required by a gym, coach, or event.
5. Recommendations, evidence, and results
Suggested paths, compatibility labels, rankings, and descriptions such as "high percentage" are educational guidance, not promises of success, injury avoidance, or a measurable improvement. Unless a particular figure is expressly tied to an identified dataset and method, do not treat it as a validated population success rate or a prediction of your performance.
Recommendations may use incomplete source material, editorial judgments, and automated rules. Data, classifications, links, and diagrams can contain errors or become outdated. Your own recorded attempts and successes describe your entries and are not a controlled scientific assessment. A connection marked supported in the product does not certify that it will work against every response or under every ruleset.
Use judgment, verify important details against appropriate sources, and discuss unfamiliar techniques with a qualified instructor. We may correct or remove inaccurate or unsafe material.
6. Your workspaces and content
You retain the rights you have in original notes, observations, and other content you create or upload. You grant us a limited, nonexclusive license to host, copy, process, format, transmit, and display that content only as reasonably necessary to provide the features you request, secure and maintain the Service, respond to your support requests, and meet legal obligations. This license does not transfer ownership to us.
We do not receive a license under these Terms to sell your private notes, make your private workspace publicly available, or use it to train general-purpose AI models. Any future materially different use must have an appropriate disclosed basis and any consent required by law.
Do not upload content that infringes others' rights. Keep unnecessary sensitive information, medical records, passwords, and identifiable information about training partners out of notes. Do not use the Service to maintain profiles or records about minors.
7. Local storage and cloud saves
Some workspace information may be stored in your browser or device. Local information can be lost if you clear site data, change devices or browser profiles, uninstall software, experience a device failure, or use private browsing. Local storage is not the same as a cloud backup.
Where offered, account features allow eligible workspaces to be saved remotely. Follow the product's upload, conflict-resolution, and save-status instructions. Do not assume an unfinished, offline, or failed save reached the server. Keep exports or other copies of information important to you where the product provides that capability.
We will exercise the care required by applicable law, but do not promise uninterrupted availability, permanent retention, or recovery of every lost or overwritten item.
8. Service materials and permitted use
We and our licensors retain our respective rights in the Service's software, original text, original illustrations, branding, and compilation of materials. We do not claim exclusive ownership of common grappling techniques, facts, or third-party videos merely because they appear in the library.
Subject to these Terms, you may use the Service for lawful personal study and training planning. You may use your own original plans and notes in your personal training or instruction, subject to any third-party rights. This permission does not allow you to copy or resell our protected library materials or another creator's instructional content.
Do not interfere with the Service, bypass access controls, probe accounts you do not own without authorization, distribute malware, fraudulently access paid features, or use automated collection that violates access controls or materially burdens the Service. Nothing in these Terms restricts rights the law makes nonwaivable, legitimate accessibility use, truthful reviews, or legally protected security research.
9. External videos, links, and creators
The Service may link to or embed material provided by independent platforms and creators. Rights to those materials remain with their owners. Access can change or end, and third-party platforms may impose their own terms, age restrictions, advertising, and privacy practices.
A reference, embed, attribution, or technical classification does not by itself establish an endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership. We do not grant you permission to download, rehost, or redistribute third-party videos or paid instructional material. Report a suspected rights violation to support@nogiblueprint.com with enough information to identify the material and the concern. This contact is not a claim that we have registered a statutory DMCA agent.
10. Charges and future paid features
Creating a free account does not authorize a charge, recurring payment, or subscription. Optional paid features, if introduced, will require a separate offer and your affirmative checkout authorization. The offer must disclose the price, billing period, renewal terms if any, cancellation process, and applicable refund information before purchase.
We may change the features offered without charge prospectively, but will not silently convert a free account into a paid subscription. Specific paid-plan terms will not reduce mandatory consumer rights. These Terms alone do not launch a paid plan or establish a no-refunds policy.
11. Availability and warranty limitations
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service and educational content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. We do not warrant that every recommendation is complete or correct, that a particular result will occur, or that access will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
This section does not override an express promise we separately make to you, a warranty that applicable law does not permit us to disclaim, or our obligations concerning reasonable security and protection of personal information.
12. Limits on liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, neither we nor our personnel will be liable under this agreement for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, arising from the Service. Subject to the exceptions below, our aggregate liability for claims arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid us for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These exclusions and the monetary cap do not apply to our fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, violation of law, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. They do not waive nonwaivable statutory remedies or consumer rights. Where a jurisdiction does not allow a limitation, the affected limitation does not apply to the extent prohibited.
13. Suspension, closing accounts, and changes to the Service
You may stop using the Service and request account closure through support@nogiblueprint.com. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address security threats, unlawful conduct, material violations of these Terms, or a legal obligation. Where reasonable and legally permitted, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.
We may discontinue a feature or the Service. When practicable, we will give advance notice and a reasonable opportunity to obtain your own content. Closure and deletion are subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law. Publicly available policies and a reasonable way to exercise privacy rights should not depend on agreeing to new commercial terms.
14. Changes to these Terms
We will identify the effective date and version of updated Terms. For material changes that affect existing account users, we will provide reasonable advance notice, ordinarily at least 30 days, unless a shorter period is reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or another urgent reason permitted by law.
We will request renewed affirmative acceptance when required and before conditioning continued account features on a materially revised agreement. We will not deem you to have accepted a new version merely because a database record changed or a page was updated. Declining new Terms may limit future account functionality, but will not waive existing privacy rights or any right to obtain or delete information required by law. Changes do not retroactively alter accrued claims without a lawful basis and any agreement required by law.
15. Governing law and disputes
California law governs this agreement, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory laws protecting you in your place of residence continue to apply. Subject to those mandatory protections, disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and the parties consent to those courts' jurisdiction.
You retain any nonwaivable right to bring a claim in your local courts or in an eligible small-claims court. Contacting us first at support@nogiblueprint.com may help resolve a concern but is not a condition that deprives you of a legal remedy or shortens a filing deadline. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver.
16. General provisions and contact
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent consistent with applicable law. Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a waiver of future enforcement. These Terms and any separately accepted, clearly applicable feature terms are the agreement concerning the Service, without displacing mandatory law or specific express promises made to you.
We may transfer this agreement in connection with a lawful business transfer, subject to applicable law, the Privacy Policy, and any required notices or permissions. Such a transfer does not eliminate your existing rights. Provisions intended by their nature to survive closure, including applicable ownership provisions and lawful liability limits, survive to that extent.
